HAPPY 2026🧡
As we’ve step into the new year, I've been reflecting a lot on the heart of Black Recruiters Network and what this space can be like for all of us.
2025 had some real standout moments: we stepped into new lanes with corporate partnerships, on-stage panels, conference appearances, and increased visibility. We grew in ways that felt exciting and validating.
But if I'm honest, with all that momentum and the day-to-day demands of recruitment, we slipped on something crucial: nurturing you, our members.
We missed quarterly socials. We didn't create as many spaces for connection. And somewhere along the way, we strayed from the ethos that brought us together in the first place; learning and growing together.
So this year, it's back to the core 🧡
What that means for 2026:
Intentional and consistent community focus 🌱
Regular socials, both in-person and online. Meaningful opportunities to connect, share experiences, and learn from the wealth of knowledge we have right here in this community. BRN is for the community, and we're making sure it feels that way all year long.
Not losing sight of who got us here
The members who don't just believe in the mission of BRN but actively show up, support, help out, offer their time, and share their insights are the heartbeat of this network. This year is about honoring that and ensuring you feel seen, valued, and supported.
Building a sustainable structure
And to deliver on all of this consistently, we're putting the proper structure in place - planning ahead, supporting our team, and creating systems that make BRN sustainable alongside our day jobs. As our team grows, we want to ensure everyone who steps in feels supported and set up for success, so we can keep showing up for the community in the way you deserve.
The truth is:
BRN exists because of you. Because you believed in creating a space where Black recruiters could connect, learn, grow, and thrive. 2026 is about protecting that energy, nurturing this community, and ensuring BRN truly feels like home for everyone who's part of it.
I'm so excited about what we're building together this year, not louder, just deeper 💫

Community Manager (Voluntary Role)
As we kickstart 2026, we're bringing someone on board to help us continue building meaningful connections and impact across our community.
We're looking for a Community Manager (approx. 5-8 hours per week) to oversee engagement across our channels - WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Slack, and our newsletter.
Ideally, you’ve been exposed to the Talent & Recruitment industry, are interested in the conversations we're having, and keen to learn more about this space while helping foster genuine community connections. 🧡

DIVERSE are looking for a Recruitment Marketing Manager to help make industries like sport, media, and energy more accessible to young Black professionals.
If you (or someone in your network) have an eye for marketing and love a startup environment, this is your chance to manage high-profile campaigns and events.
Salary: £40,000 (Full-time)
Location: UK Remote + London travel
The Opportunity: Manage campaigns that showcase opportunities with brands like Octopus Energy, Red Bull and Suntory (Lucozade & Ribena). Along with marketing opportunities to young black professionals on the Merky FC Football Careers programme.
