🫶🏾 Looking After Yourself
Black History Month can be amazing BUT it can also be A LOT. Between work, events, panels, and everything else life throws at you, it's easy to burn out. So here's your reminder to pace yourself and protect your peace:
Set Your Boundaries 🛑
You don't have to attend every single event. It's okay to say no and choose what aligns with your energy and interests. Quality over quantity, always.
Take Breaks When You Need Them ☕
If you're feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained (especially at events covering heavy topics), step away, grab some air, hydrate, and reset. Your mental health matters more than being everywhere.
Connect Authentically 🤝
Don't feel pressured to network with everyone in the room. Focus on genuine connections with people who uplift and inspire you.
Celebrate YOUR Way 🎉
Black History Month doesn't have to look the same for everyone. Whether you're at every event or chilling at home watching a documentary, however you choose to celebrate is valid.
